This edition is in writing, at their hostel room, relaxing after a little excursion, where we have seen alligators and some got a picture of where they hold a small one.
The teacher’s house wasn’t the only house that went late to bed. The sport and event house had a late night meal from McDonalds at 3 o clock in the morning, and were rejected to buy beers in 7/11, because it was past 2 o clock in the night.
First day (Monday) in Orlando we all slept in, the editors house were up around 9 o clock. The day started out by finding the grocery team, while the rest stayed at home and went straight to the pool. Nothing much to write about the first, expect a lot of sunbathing and getting to know each other.
Tuesday:
At 7:30 in the morning, Merete was waiting outside our house, the first run was about to begin, unfortunately only 4 students joined 🙂 After a nice run, we all meet at the teachers house, were today’s assignment was announced. We all split into groups and got different assignments. Some got an assignment about the trip to USA, and others had to do field research about the golf club. At 2 PM we all presented our assignment to each other.
Wednesday:
This day we went downtown Orlando to visit VisitOrlando. Some felt it was like VisitSilkeborg, only a bit bigger 😉 After a nice presentation by Nancy from VisitOrlando, we all went out to shop at one of Orlandos huge Premium outlets.
Thursday:
This day we went to visit Legoland in Orlando. We had a guided tour and free tickets all day. We all had big expectations to Legoland, because everything is bigger in USA, and we had all seen Legoland in Denmark. Unfortunately it wasn’t as extravagant as we thought, but we still had a great day. Suddenly during our guided tour a man stopped us, his name was Kim and he was from Denmark. He worked as a manager for food and beverages in Legoland Orlando. Kim was very nice, and we ended up talking to him for about half an hour, he were glad to speak Danish again, and were more than willingly to tell us everything about his job and Legoland in general. After the tour we enjoyed the rest of the day in the park.
Friday:
This day the teachers had organized a “homework” day, we all got assignments and new groups, and at the end of the day, we once again presented our work to the rest of the group. The one thing different about this presentation was that we wasn’t allowed to use any technical equipment for the presentation, so people got really creative 🙂
Saturday:
We all had the day of, some went to Disneyland, others went shooting at a shooting ranch, and the rest spent the day relaxing in the houses. At night some people decided to go see a rodeo show downtown.
Sunday:
Sunday was the day everybody was looking forward to, we were all going to Universal Studios! Universal studios are an amusement park, with themes, rollercoaster’s and amusement designed and preformed as different Universal films. The park was amazing, the rollercoaster’s were crazy, and the finish and execution of the hole park were just so consistently, we all had a blast all day.
