Program
De første 8 dage i USA tilbringes i Orlando. Her skal vi bo i villaer, hvor vi selv skal sørge for madlavningen gruppevis.
Når vi lander i Orlando, vil der være lejebiler parat. Vi skal bruge disse biler imens vi bor i Orlando, og når vi rejser videre til Miami.
Under opholdet i Orlando vil temaet være kultur, det indebærer blandt andet besøg hos Legoland med oplæg af Marcy Harrison som er Community Relations Coordinator, og besøg hos turistbureauet ”Visit Orlando”
Når vi kommer til Miami skal vi bo på hostels på mindre værelser. Så vidt vi har hørt skulle værelsestandarden her, ikke være noget at prale af, lokationen derimod skulle være fremragende, med kort til stranden, shopping og restaurant muligheder.
I Miami er temaet multikulturel diversitet. Vi skal besøge universitetet og de studerende på FIU – Florida International University, hvor vi vil opleve et ærkeamerikanisk universitet med campus og alt hvad der hører til.
Vi skal deltage i en Wine & Food Festival i flere dage, hvor vi skal hjælpe de studerende med udførelsen. Ydermere skal vi besøge Miami International Boat Show og se et luksus hotel.
Der er dage i programmet hvor der ikke er planlagt noget, her skal vi, de studerende selv finde noget der er værd at opleve.
Under hele opholdet i Florida skal vi studerende udarbejde et projekt omhandlende værtsskab, vores erfaringer og læring. Projektet skal fremlægges for de øvrige grupper sidst på studieturen.
Der er stadig huller i programmet, som ikke er fastlagt endnu, dette indebærer blandt andet besøg hos Universal Studios og minikrydstogt. Forhåbentligt bliver disse ting fastlagt det kommende stykke tid.
Programme
The first 8 days in the USA we will be spending in Orlando. We will be living in rented houses, where we will be cooking by ourselves in groups.
When we land in Orlando, there will be rented cars. We have to use these cars while we are living in Orlando and when we travel further to Miami.
While we are in Orlando, the theme will be culture, that includes a visit at Legoland with lecture by Marcy Harrison and a visit at the tourist bureau ”Visit Orlando”
When we arrive to Miami, we are going to live at a hostel in miner rooms. As far as we know, the standard of the rooms is nothing to brag about. The location should be excellent with short distance to the beach, shopping and restaurants.
In Miami, the theme will be multicultural and diversity. We are going to visit the university and the students at FIU – Florida International University. We are going to experience a real American university with campus and all that comes with it.
We will participate in the Wine and Food festival in several days, where we will help the students with the execution. Furthermore we will visit Miami International Boat Show and a luxury hotel.
There are days in the program, where nothing is planned, here we have the possibilities to experience Miami on our own.
During the stay in Florida, we the students will have to make a project about hostship, our experiences and learning.
The project will be presented for the other groups in the end of the trip.
There is still room in our program, which isn’t decided yet; this is the visit at Universal Studios and a minicruise. Hopefully these things will get fully planned in few weeks.
